Battery Monitoring With Remote
Access
|
 |
- Telecom Cell Sites
- Power Ditribution Substations
- Railway Signalling Systems
- The EMS430 Battery Supervisor is a din mounted module
which monitors the performance of 12, 24 or -48 volt batteries.
- Battery current, voltage and state of charge are monitored.
- Battery ambient temperature can be monitored.
- An isolated RS485 link is provided for linking to supervisory
equipment

Accurately measures incoming and outgoing battery current
Accurately measures battery voltages for 12, 24 or -48 volt DC systems.
Provides energy in versus energy out (Amp Hours) for each
charge/discharge cycle.
Provides an output for charger disconnect on high
battery volts alarm, giving protection against overcharging
in the event of charger malfunction
Provides an output for controlling an EMS350 (or
similar) controlled generator-based charger based on low
battery volts or low residual battery energy. This can be
used to minimise deep battery cycling and consequent battery
stress.
Maintains a history of the previous discharge
and charge cycle information at intervals of 1 minute.
Provides connection capability to single wire
bus temperature monitors (EMS410) for monitoring battery
room temperatures and assisting in the detection of overheating
battery cells.
Provides addressable isolated RS485 connectivity
for connection to a multi-node Modbus network
Interfaces to the EMS420 site supervisor for local
status display and setup.
Together with the EMS420 it can be remotely monitored and
polled for logged performance data using PowerConfig, PowerLink
or PowerLink Lite monitoring software.
